Visa Requirements
- Original, signed United States Diplomatic or Official passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity, after completion of stay in China, and contain at least two blank visa pages (other than amendment/endorsement pages)
- Completed and signed Application form-1-Visa application must be completed online and printed out for submission.
- Passport-type photographs: 1 DO NOT STAPLE!
- COPY OF BIO PAGE
- Application must be TYPED IN ALL CAPS
- Title and purpose required
- Must include name of person replacing for PCS
- Must provide last Post of assignment for PCS; for new JO’s last Post of assignment will be U.S. State Dept., Washington, DC
- S/E or D/E visa issued only, No M/E
- Spell out full name on letter
- If no Dip title, request Official visa, provide Functional title
- All blanks on visa form must be filled in, including POC information. This includes a POC (with phone number) at the Post you are visiting in China
- All travelers must submit Declaration Form with package
- Copy data page must be stapled to each application
- For assignment travel, traveler’s must submit China Visa Letter Request Form PCS
- If a large group is traveling and names are on one request letter, please order the passports according to the order on the letter
- If visiting with Chinese Officials, must submit copy of invitation
