Visa Requirements

No visa required up to 90 days

• Original, signed United States Diplomatic or Official passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity, after completion of stay in South Africa, and contain at least two blank visa pages
• Fully completed and signed Application form
• Passport-type photographs: 2 –must be taken in the last 6 mos.
• Passport must be signed
• Title and purpose required
• Must include title and name replacing for PCS
• Application must state Section assigned to
• Letter required for each application for PCS
• EFM’s and MOH’s not holding a Diplomatic or Official passport require additional clearance through the Post Management Officer.
• Diplomatic note required for Assignment
• BLACK INK ONLY
• Submit two (2) cover letters
• No visa required for Transit
• No visa required up to 90 days
• PCS needs the following
  • NOTARIZED copy of birth certificate-(for minor dependents only)
  • NOTARIZED copy of marriage certificate-(for dependent spouse only)
  • NOTARIZED copy of passport bio pages of all travelers

• Notarized Copy of Diplomatic/Residency Permit of the sponsor
• Notarized Copy Of Bio Page (Sponsor)
• Notarized Travel Letter of Consent Form (dependent(s) traveling with 1 parent)

Minimum Processing Time –   10 Business Days TDY, 10 Days PCS (MFA approval required)
